AUDIO DESIGN ASSOCIATES INTRODUCES HDTV-16 CARD ENABLING DISTRIBUTION OF 16 HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO AND VIDEO SIGNALS THROUGHOUT THE HOME
Denver, CO - September 6, 2007 - At this year’s CEDIA Expo, Audio Design Associates (ADA) -- the recognized brand of excellence in high-end custom installed electronics and a founding member of CEDIA – announced the introduction of the HDTV-16 Card for the company’s Suite-16 luxury whole-house preamplifier / switcher.
”Not just incredible, but evolutionary, the HDTV-16 video card rounds out ADA’s Suite-16 luxury multi-room system offering perfectly,” says Richard Stoerger, ADA’s VP and COO. “Now in just three rack-spaces, an integrator can pack 16 audio inputs with a 17th paging input; 16 zones of pre-amplification and 16x16 HD Video (220MHz) and Digital Audio switching on Cat-5 cable.”
The HDTV-16 works in conjunction with ADA’s VCT-4, VCT-32 and VCR-4 Cat-5-RCA Jack Converters. It is also pin-for-pin compatible with Crestron CNXRMCLV devices.
The HDTV-16 card was born from ADA’s Omega CB system, a lavish estate-targeted system that the company reveres as the most advanced, best sounding, sophisticated and expensive multi-room system in the world, capable of routing 32 high-definition video sources and 64 digital-audio sources to up to 106 independent zones.
ADA’s Chief Design Engineer, President and CEO Albert Langella says, ”We spent years developing the Omega CB system based on our dealer’s requirements to route all sources through a central mainframe with digital audio and HD video on Cat-5. The HDTV-16 card is a by-product of that technology, providing similar switching but on a smaller matrix: sixteen by sixteen. The form factor has been condensed to fit on a single card slot (for the Suite-16 system), while still leaving room in the chassis for our traditional audio input card and one pre-amplifier card. The space conscious designer / installer can now get it all in just three rack spaces.”
ADA expects to begin shipping the HDTV-16 cards in the third-quarter of 2007 with a retail price of $5,999.
