3D WEEK - ADA BEGINS SHIPPING SUITE 7.1 HD & CINEMA RHAPSODY MACH IV WITH HDMI 1.4
Warning - This is not an April Fools Joke ;-)
New York, NY – March 28, 2011 – Audio Design Associates (ADA), the recognized brand of excellence in high-end home cinema and custom installed electronics, announced that they have begun shipping the cutting-edge Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV and Suite 7.1 HD Home Theater Controllers with HDMI version 1.4 circuitry which supports 3D formats.
“Frankly, being 3D capable is a major step forward for ADA as our preamplifiers feature eight HDMI inputs and dual-mirror outputs and not just four HDMI inputs with a single output.” notes Richard Stoerger, vice president and COO. “With all current and future technology moving over to HDMI connectivity, having only four inputs is extremely limiting. As you continue to connect media playing devices to your home cinema, you will quickly run out of inputs and that’s not good.”
Both the Suite 7.1 HD and the Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV feature 8 HDMI inputs, dual-mirror HDMI outputs (i.e. for connecting both a flat-panel and projector) as well as eight digital audio inputs, network jack and low-voltage trigger (to power amplifiers on and off). The Suite 7.1 HD features four analog stereo inputs while the Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV features eight stereo inputs, an eight-channel bypass input, record audio outputs and a second crossover (analog) that permits one to run full-range capable speakers (in “large” mode) while still extracting bass information from those channels for summing with the LFE to the subwoofer. The Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV is available in two versions: the Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV-B features balanced audio outputs while the Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV (original version) features non-HDMI video switching including eight composite, S-video and component inputs. This unit is specifically designed to operate with the very best scalers/transcoders available.
The Suite 7.1 HD retails for only $5799, up only $300 from its HDMI 1.3 predecessor while either Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV retails for only $7799 (also up $300 from the prior versions). “We believe that our pre/pros provide the very best value in the market and our customers reaffirm that notion with their extraordinarily positive comments on several popular Internet forums.” states Albert Langella, president, CEO and chief design engineer. “While I am extremely proud of all of our home cinema milestones over the past twenty-years, including the first RS-232 controllable Pro Logic preamp, first THX certified power amplifier, first Dolby and DTS preamps, first Surround EX decoder and first pre/pro with 8 HDMI inputs, I have to admit that this generation of pre/pros provides a level of sound quality and features that truly is state-of-the-art. I am delighted that so many customers recognize our value proposition and are asking for us by name.”
ADA plans to announce upgrade paths for existing Suite 7.1 HD and Cinema Rhapsody Mach IV customers sometime in Q2 along with release dates of the fabled TEQ Trinnov based room correction system.
