The PTM-850 packs a great deal of punch in an incredibly small chassis that measures only one rack-unit in height (1.75 inches tall). But don't let its size fool you, the PTM-850 is ideal as both a multi-room/zone sound reinforcement amplifier or a home theater power amplifier, packing more punch than most AV receivers. It's all high-current power output across eight channels comes by way of eight monolithic integrated output transistors that create warm, smooth sound. And to make certain one or several PTM-850 power amplifiers can be squeezed into tight equipment racks, even this incredibly low profile power amplifier is completely force-air fan-cooled.
